“Wouldn’t it be great to be able to take your favorite art with you, out in the world, where you can show it off? #GivingTuesday is your chance to own a piece of art you can take anywhere — on your feet!”
The goal: The Art Academy of Cincinnati’s (AAC) Office of Development wanted to make donating to AAC appealing to their students. The purpose was to foster an appreciation of giving back to the college early in their tenure — encouraging lifelong giving.
The strategy: Utilizing influencer marketing, the Art Academy commissioned Sydney Kay, AAC sophomore and internet-famous sneaker artist, to create a custom pair of killer kicks to celebrate the Art Academy’s 10th anniversary in historic Over-the-Rhine. For every $10 someone donated to the Annual Appeal, they earned an entry to win a pair of Sydney’s shoes.
