Background: Before having a marketing department, the Art Academy of Cincinnati’s Community Education Department fell out of the fold of the college’s brand standards. The problem was to bring their look, tone, and feel back in line with the college.
To provide the social voice for Community Education, we had to embrace the rebellious new mission of the college while emphasizing their point of difference — students learning from artists who are professionals in their field. It was critical to strike the right balance of being experts in the field while also being approachable to the general public whom Community Education serves.
#GoAheadCreateYourself was born.
To launch Community Education Department’s Create Yourself campaign, we partnered with Higher Level Art to create a mural that best represented the diversity of Community Education’s offerings while upholding the college’s brand standards.
